Mystery Valentine’s Day Teddy Bear Fundraiser: February 14

Are you stressed about what to get your Valentine? We know it is hard to find the perfect gift that shows that you put thought into it while also taking more than a five-minute stop at Harris Teeter on your way home to grab chocolate. We are here to solve your problem.

Join us for our Valentine’s Day game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. Prior to the start of the game, we will have our Mystery Teddy Bear fundraiser. These ridiculously cute teddy bears are wearing red t-shirts with the Kids ‘N Community Foundation heart logo. All bears will be signed by a Carolina Hurricanes player.

Each bear is $40 and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and a tax receipt. We will have 300 available at a limit of two per person. All proceeds benefit the Kids ‘N Community Foundation.

Skate with the Canes: February 15

Tickets are going fast for the 15th annual Skate with the Canes fundraiser for the Kids ‘N Community Foundation on Friday, Feb. 15, from 6-9 p.m.!

During the event, patrons are split up into groups and rotate through three sessions: skating, autographs and locker room photo. Hurricanes players will also be divided into three groups and will rotate opposite of patrons so that each group will get to meet each player.

You will get an up close experience with each Hurricanes player! Tickets are only $75 each for this priceless experience, so buy yours today. Tickets available on Ticketmaster, Caniac Account Manager, at the PNC Arena box office or by calling (919) 861-5474. All proceeds benefit the Kids ‘N Community Foundation.

Carolina Ale House Paper Heart & Magnet Campaign: February 1-28

The Carolina Ale House has once again committed to giving back to the Kids ‘N Community Foundation in a big way. The Paper Heart & Magnet Campaign launched at all 11 North Carolina Ale House locations this past Friday. Servers at each location will be selling paper hearts for $1 and heart magnets for $3. All proceeds will benefit the Kids ‘N Community Foundation.

Last year’s campaign brought in a record $21,168! Please take a night out to eat a delicious meal at one of the following Ale House locations and purchase a paper heart or magnet: Charlotte, Greenville, Durham, Brier Creek, Cary, Raleigh Creekside, North Raleigh, Fayetteville, Wilmington, Jacksonville and Wake Forest.

Carolina Hurricanes Book Drive: February 14-21

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Night and Read Across America, the Carolina Hurricanes will be hosting a book drive to support local, regional and state-wide schools in North Carolina. Fans can donate new and/or gently-used books for grades K-5 at the games on Feb. 14 and Feb. 21. All donors will receive a chance to enter-to-win autographed items and tickets to a future game. Items will include a team signed jersey and stick, four tickets to the March 2 game against the Florida Panthers and autographed photographs of Jeff Skinner, Eric Staal and Jordan Staal.

Individuals interested in dropping off items during the book drive on non-gamedays can do so at the VIP entrance of PNC Arena from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday.

Whew. February has a lot going on! We hope you will consider giving back to the North Carolina community by participating in one of the philanthropic events that will occur this month. Our next grant cycle for the Kids ‘N Community Foundation is coming up on March 1. We will be donating $150,000 in grant monies to 15 non-profit children’s organizations in North Carolina. Without your support at these events, this grant cycle and the impact it will have on each group would not be possible.
