RALEIGH, NC – Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has recalled goaltender John Muse from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL). Rutherford also announced that Ellis and defenseman Bobby Sanguinetti are being placed on injured reserve, and defenseman Joe Corvo is being activated from injured reserve.

This marks the first NHL recall for the 24-year-old Muse, who is in his second full professional season.
