Canes Activate Sanguinetti from Injured Reserve
RALEIGH, NC – Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has activated defenseman Bobby Sanguinetti from injured reserve. Sanguinetti, who has missed the last four games with an upper-body injury, is eligible to play in Carolina’s game tonight against the Washington Capitals at PNC Arena.

Sanguinetti, 25, has earned four points (1g, 3a) in a career-high 24 NHL games this season. The Trenton, NJ, native played in 36 games for Charlotte of the American Hockey League (AHL) prior to being recalled by Carolina, leading Checkers defensemen in goals (6) and ranking tied for second on the team in assists (15) at the time of his recall. Sanguinetti (6’3”, 190 lbs.) has appeared in 32 career NHL games with the New York Rangers and Carolina Hurricanes, totaling four points (1g, 3a).
