Registration Now Open for 15th Annual Kids \'N Community Foundation Golf Tournament
RALEIGH, NC – Doug Warf, Vice President of Marketing for the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes and Executive Director of the Kids ‘N Community Foundation, today announced that registration is now open for the 15th Annual Kids ‘N Community Golf Tournament presented by Volvo Construction Equipment. The 2013 tournament will take place at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary on Sept. 23, and will have an 11 a.m. shotgun start.

As in years past, Hurricanes players, coaches, alumni, broadcasters and management will join each participating foursome. Each registered golfer will receive a gift bag valued at $250, on-course food and beverage and a tax receipt for participation. Following the tournament, golfers will enjoy a reception where prizes will be awarded to the tournament’s top teams and individual-hole contest winners. Prior to the tournament, participants will receive two tickets to a Hurricanes preseason game. Following the game, golfers will attend a pairings party with the team and meet the Hurricanes representatives they will play with at the tournament.

This marks the fourth year that Volvo Construction Equipment will sponsor the tournament, which is one of the Kids ‘N Community Foundation’s biggest fundraisers. The 2011 tournament raised $106,000 for the Foundation, which awarded $436,600 to 26 different children’s charities and foundations in 2012-13.
