I met Stormy the very first time I went to a hockey game and I really like that guy.

My favorite food to eat is turkey that I helped cook.

Do you remember the first Hurricanes game you attended?  Tell us about it!
My very first Canes game was the Pittsburgh Penguins on February 10, 2006.  We lost but Staal scored two goals and I had a great time!

Happy Thanksgiving, Kids Club!

We had our first Kids Club packet pickup this week, and it was great to see so many of you out here to get your membership items. Stormy made an appearance and made the day of many visiting members!

We will be holding a second packet pickup date on Tuesday December 15th from 3 – 6pm. All registered members who have not picked up their packets by this date can come and get their membership items at this time.

If you were unable to attend the first pickup and cannot attend the second, you can still pick up your packet by one of three ways:
1)    During normal business hours at the VIP desk at the RBC Center, provided you give us 48-hours notice
2)    At any home game, provided you give us 48-hours notice
3)    Packets can also be mailed for a $10 shipping charge

We will be having our first Kids Club packet pickup on Monday, November 16, from 3-6:30 p.m. at the RBC Center's Time Warner Cable Box Office. All registered Kids Club members can come and pick up their packets at this time. If you are unable to attend, you can pick up your packet during normal business hours or at any home game after the November 16 packet pickup date, provided you give us 48-hours notice. Packets can also be mailed for a $10 shipping charge.

We also have our first autograph winner for the month of November. Joseph Marceno has won an autographed photo of Hurricanes alternate captain Ray Whitney! Congratulations Joseph!

Happy Halloween!

This week our second randomly selected autograph winner for the month of October was chosen, and our lucky Kids Club member is Trevor Capps! He won an autographed photo of Hurricanes player Joni Pitkanen. Congratulations Trevor!

Our two October Members of the Month were posted last week, so make sure you check out Nathan and Keegan’s exclusive member interviews.

We will be holding a member packet pickup in November. At that time all registered Kids Club members can come to the RBC Center and pick up their Kids Club packets. We will be emailing out more information about that as it becomes available, as well as posting it on here. If you are unable to attend the packet pickup, there will be other options to get your membership items after that date.

Welcome back, Kids Club!

We are excited to be back for the third season of the Hurricanes Hockey Kids Club, and hope you are too. Registration began September 23rd and is still going on. There are limited memberships available, so make sure to sign up today!

Information regarding your Kids Club packet pickup will be sent out and posted online as soon as the packets become available.

Each month we will be having multiple autograph winners and two Kids Club Members of the Month. All winners will be randomly selected and contacted by email. Members of the Month will have their exclusive Q&A and photo posted on the Kids Club website, so check your email to see if you are a lucky winner!

Happy Summer, Kids Club!

Even though the Hurricanes’ playoff run is over, I hope you all enjoyed being a part of an exciting 2008-2009 hockey season. As members of the coolest club in the NHL, you all were great support for the team as they battled through the season and into the postseason. Thank you for being such great fans and Kids Club members.

Many of you have sent in your completed Kids Club surveys; I appreciate all of your feedback and suggestions for the 2009-2010 season. The deadline to send in your surveys is Monday, June 15. Following that date, I will be drawing five names from all of the responses that have been sent back, and those lucky winners will receive autographs from select Hurricanes players. The winners will be contacted by email and I will post them on the Kids Club website. Keep sending in your surveys for your chance to win!

Our final member of the month this year was also selected, and you will soon be able to read his member profile on the Kids Club website. Congratulations again to all eight of our Member of the Month winners this past season!

As the summer winds down and next hockey season picks up, be on the lookout on our website for registration information for the 2009-2010 Hurricanes Hockey Kids Club. We would love for you to join us again for new membership items, autographs, member highlights, and more.

Happy Spring, Kids Club members! We hope you are out enjoying this nice weather in between the last few hockey games of the season.

Thank you to all of our members who came out to our fun-filled Kids Club autograph session on Sunday March 8th. It was a great day to be a Kids Club member, as the session was more than just autographs – it was a maze inside the RBC Center too! Members got to go through the Olympia entrance and touch the Olympia, walk across the RBC Center ice, sit on the Hurricanes bench, go into the penalty box, got player autographs in the visiting team locker room, and also autographs with Stormy. They were able to get their photo taken at each stop along the way! The maze ended with members entering to win one of six Hurricanes autographs. Congratulations to our winners!

Congrats to all of our autograph winners! 

We have had a great season with the Kids Club and hope all of our members have enjoyed being part of the coolest club in the NHL. Keep cheering on your Carolina Hurricanes as they battle for a playoff position in the final games of the season! Go Canes!

Tomorrow’s game against the Tampa Bay Lightning is also the second game this season where Kids Club members can take advantage of their membership for a Buy-One-Get-One ticket offer. Take your membership card to the Time Warner Cable Box Office at the RBC Center when you purchase your tickets to get your discount. The next two games the offer can be used for are February 12 vs Florida Panthers and March 18 vs New Jersey Devils.

We have also announced the date for our Kids Club Members-Only Autograph Session!

            Where: RBC Center, 1400 Edwards Mill Road, Raleigh, NC

Kids Club members will be able to attend this exclusive autograph session with select members from the Carolina Hurricanes. More information on the time of the event, etc will be sent out as the date draws near.

Come out to the game tomorrow against Tampa Bay and Saturday against Atlanta to cheer on your Hurricanes!

We have a new member of the month for January, and that lucky Kids Club member of Keely Carlson. Her exclusive member Q&A and Caniac photo are now on the Kids Club website, so check it out. Congratulations Keely!

We also have two new autograph winners – Kiara McNeil was selected for the week of December 22. She won an autograph by goaltender Michael Leighton. This week we drew another autograph winner, Trevor Cole. Trevor won a puck autographed by Matt Cullen. Our next autograph winner will be chosen next week, so be on the lookout for who it is.

There is another Buy-One-Get-One offer for Kids Club members this month. The January 29, 2009 game vs. Tampa Bay Lightning will be the second game this season where Kids Club members can use their membership to get a discount on tickets to games. Simply take your membership card to the Time Warner Cable Box Office at the RBC Center to get your tickets and discount.

Members have been asking about our Kids Club members-only autograph session with Hurricanes players. We will be sending out an email with more information in the near future to announce the date.

We just announced our autograph winner for this week, and the lucky Kids Club member is Danny Andrussier! Danny won an autographed puck signed by Hurricanes player Patrick Eaves. Congratulations Danny!

Our second packet pickup was this past Monday, December 15, and the members that came enjoyed seeing Stormy Santa and taking their picture with him! With the holidays upon us, if you would still like to pick up your packet there are still ways for you to do so.

1. You can pick up the packet at any Hurricanes game at the RBC Center, but we require that you give us 48-hours notice
2. You can pick up the packet during business hours (9am-5pm) at the VIP entrance at the RBC Center, again requiring you give us 48-hours notice
3. We can mail you your packet for a $10.00 shipping charge.

Due to Christmas next week, you will not be able to pick it up on Wednesday December 24, Thursday December 25, or Friday December 26. Please email kidsclub@carolinahurricanes.com to let us know when you would like to pick it up or if you have any questions.

We also have an exciting offer exclusively for Kids Club members for the “World’s Toughest Rodeo, presenting Toughest Cowboy!” The “World’s Toughest Rodeo” will be on Saturday January 3, 2009 at the RBC Center at 7:30pm, and Kids Club members and their parents will get a discount on ticket prices.

Adults will save $5 off the gate price, and kids 12 and under will get half off the gate price. Kids will also get a free cowboy hat with the purchase of a ticket, and all Kids Club ticket orders will be entered to win tickets to the February 22, 2009 game against the Colorado Avalanche. Hello Kids Club Caniacs!

We hope you all are loving your full dose of Hurricanes hockey this month – 11 home games in all!

We had our first packet pick up last week, which was very successful. We have enjoyed meeting so many of you, both at the pick up and at the games. Make sure to stop by the Promotions Kiosk at the games to say hi!

If you were unable to pick up your packet, there are still three ways for you to get your one of a kind Kids Club items!

1) You can pick up the packet at any Hurricanes game at the RBC Center, but we require that you give us 48-hours notice

2) You can pick up the packet during business hours at the VIP entrance at the RBC Center, again requiring you give us 48-hours notice

3) We can mail you your packet, but that comes with a $10.00 charge for shipping.

We have our first Buy-One-Get-One offer exclusively for Kids Club members coming up! Sunday November 23^rd will be the first game this season where you can take advantage of your Kids Club membership and use your card to get tickets for the game against the Nashville Predators. Simply take your card to the Time Warner Cable Box Office at the RBC Center to purchase your tickets.

Now that you have your membership card, you can also take it to The Eye, the official team store of the Carolina Hurricanes, to get a 10% discount on all of your Canes gear! From jerseys to hats to t-shirts, they have everything you need to dress as a true Caniac.

Last week we had our second Hurricanes Hockey Kids Club autograph drawing, and the lucky winner was Ashley Davis. Congratulations Ashley! She won a big Hurricanes Hockey Kids Club membership card signed by Hurricanes player Chad LaRose.

Hello Caniacs! We hope you had a fun, safe, and spooky Halloween, and are happy to have the Hurricanes back in town for nine more home games this month!

The Hurricanes Hockey Kids Club and Stormy are exited to meet all of the new and returning members of the coolest club in the NHL!

Registration for the Kids Club began in September and will continue throughout the season. With everything back in full swing, the first packet pick-up date for members has been announced!

When: Thursday November 13, 2008
Where: Time Warner Cable Box Office @ the RBC Center
1400 Edwards Mill, Rd, Raleigh, NC
Time: 3:30-7:30 p.m.

Also, please make sure to bring a valid ID when you come to pick up the packet.

If you are not able to come to this first packet pick-up date, there are three other options so you will still be able to get your exclusive Kids Club items:

1. You can pick up the packet at any Hurricanes game at the RBC Center, but we require that you give us 48-hours notice
2. You can pick up the packet during business hours at the VIP entrance at the RBC Center, again requiring you give us 48-hours notice
3. We will be holding future packet pick-up dates to be scheduled at a later time if you cannot attend any of the above.

*Please note that the packets cannot be picked up at any games or at the RBC Center prior to the November 13th date.

Another fun part of the Kids Club is that members are automatically part of a raffle for autographed photos of Hurricanes players! On the dates below, a Kids Club member will be chosen at random and will win a special photo signed by one of the players on the team:

The Kids Club also has a “Member of the Month” Q&A, which is a special opportunity for members only. One lucky Kids Club Caniac a month will be featured on the Hurricanes website answering questions about themselves and why they love the Hurricanes! Selections for the Q&A will be made at random and winners will be contacted through email.

Your child’s eyes seem to grow big with excitement as they watch games at the RBC Center and their jaws drop when they see a player skate by – don’t you want them to feel that rush and joy of being a child whenever possible? Well even the youngest Caniacs are able to be a part of the Hurricanes in their own special way. The Hurricanes Hockey Kids Club, now in its second season, allows for children 12 and under to be in a club exclusively for kids who love the Hurricanes and can’t get enough hockey. Including special bobbleheads, t-shirts, lunch boxes, and discounts on game tickets, Kids Club members have their own members-only autograph session with players, where you can see their faces light up again, just like on game days.

Members can receive all of this for a membership fee of $30, and Season Ticket holders will receive a discounted membership fee of $20 for the first 500 participants as appreciation for their continued support.
