Executive Vice President / Chief Financial Officer
Mike Amendola is in his 33rd year with the franchise, making him the longest-tenured front office employee in the Carolina Hurricanes organization. As executive vice president and chief financial officer, he is responsible for all financial, sales, human resources and information technology areas for the Carolina Hurricanes and PNC Arena. In addition, Amendola also oversees the financial operations of the other entities of Gale Force Holdings, which include the Florida Everblades, Germain Arena, Plymouth Whalers and Compuware Arena.
Amendola first joined the organization in 1981, and previously held the titles of senior accountant, controller, treasurer and vice president of finance and administration. On July 18, 2005, he was named an alternate governor, giving him the ability to represent the club at NHL Board of Governors meetings.
Amendola received an undergraduate degree in business and economics from Lehigh University in 1976, and an advanced degree in accounting from the University of Miami in 1979. He is a member of the American Institute of C.P.A.s, the North Carolina Association of C.P.A.s and the Connecticut Society of C.P.A.s.
Amendola and his wife, Roberta, have two children, Michael Jr. and Chiara.
