The Promotions and Fan Development department strives to bring the benefits and excitement of hockey to all age levels. Through a wide range of promotions and fan development programs, the department not only connects with the biggest Caniacs but also reaches out to those who have never picked up a hockey stick before.
With a strong presence at PNC Arena, the Hurricanes promotions and fan development activities also extend into schools, the business community and other events throughout the Triangle and North Carolina. From the ever-popular Stormy and the Eye Care Associates Storm Squad to our involvement with youth hockey and educating fans at Hurricanes U, there is a way for everyone to catch Canes fever. Canes Youth and Amateur Hockey (CYAH)
In an effort to further strengthen our involvement in the the youth and amateur hockey community, Canes Youth and Amateur Hockey (CYAH) provides sponsorship and presence at all skill levels of youth hockey.

Stormy
When thinking of throwing a party, think of Stormy! This furry ball of fun is available to make your next event one of the most memorable days of the year. Stormy is available for birthday parties, charity events, corporate functions and much more. |

Eye Care Associates Storm Storm Squad
The Eye Care Associates Storm Squad never stops. They attend numerous events for schools, charities, golf tournaments, company picnics and birthday parties. Send an e-mail if you want a couple friendly faces from the Hurricanes at your party. |

Canes Cool Bars
Throughout the year, Triangle-area Carolina Ale House locations host Canes Cool Bars. Each event features a live broadcast of the evening's game, games and contests, a visit from Stormy, raffle prizes, a silent auction and much more. |

Hey Caniacs! Enjoy the game but want to know more? Know what the players do at the games but curious about how they prepare beforehand? Enroll in Hurricanes U - Hockey 101, where knowledge and fantasy meet. |

Hurricanes Warning Siren
Prior to the start of each home game, a lucky Hurricanes fan or guest "sounds" the Hurricanes Warning Siren to signal that the team is ready to take the ice. More information a list of past participants can be found here. |

In-Game Promotions
During each home game, the Hurricanes' game-night staff and the Eye Care Associates Storm Squad select fans to participate in a number of on- and off-ice promotions. Visit the promotions and fan development kiosk outside section 109. |

Joy Prom at Crossroads Fellowship Church: The Eye Care Associates Storm Squad will be at the Crossroads Fellowship Church Joy Prom, a full-scale prom for people with special needs from across North Carolina. The Storm Squad is looking forward to being a part of this event this year. This event is private. |

Great Stride Walk in Raleigh and Cary: Come join Eye Care Associates Storm Squad and Stormy at the Great Stride Walk in Raleigh and Cary from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to support the fight against Cystic Fibrosis. Great Strides is the CF Foundation’s largest fund-raising event. It provides opportunities for all people within a local community to get involved forming teams through their workplace, through clubs and organizations or with friends and family. Walk day is a fun, family-oriented celebration that includes a healthy walk, Kids’ Corner activities, food and festivities that participants look forward to year after year. The Hurricanes will have the slap shot booth out for this event, so come out and have fun while supporting a great cause. |

Old Timey Days in Seven Springs: Come join the Eye Care Associates Storm Squad at the Old Timey Days festival in Seven Springs North Carolina from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. It is a family-oriented day of fun with food and live entertainment. It is sure to be a good time for all involved. |

Piedmont Service Group Employee Lunch: Members from the Eye Care Associates Storm Squad will be out at Piedmont Service Group with the slap shot booth to help them celebrate at their employee luncheon. This event is private. |

Daniels Middle School End-of-Year Bash: The Hurricanes promotions team will be out at Daniels Middle School to help them celebrate the end of another successful school year. A number of inflatables will be out at the event, one the Hurricanes enjoy participating in every year. This event is private. |

Special Olympics Opening Ceremony: Join the Eye Care Associates Storm Squad, Stormy and the slap shot booth out at this event to help kick off the 2013 Special Olympics of North Carolina Summer Games. Special Olympics North Carolina is one of the largest Special Olympics programs in the world with more than 38,000 registered athletes who train and compete in year-round programs in 19 different sports. |
