| Eye Care Associates Storm Squad Tryouts The Carolina Hurricanes will hold tryouts for the 2012-2013 Eye Care Associates Storm Squad on Monday, August 20 and Wednesday, August 22. The Eye Care Associates Storm Squad, the Carolina Hurricanes' fan development team, consists of young men and women who entertain and motivate fans at PNC Arena for all home hockey games. In addition, Eye Care Associate Storm Squad members are ambassadors for the organization at a wide variety of events throughout the community.Eye Care Associate Storm Squad members must have high availability for Hurricanes home games and be able to work scheduled promotions, appearances and community events on select weeknights and weekends throughout the year. Commitment to the team extends from the Hurricanes pre-season games in September to the following August. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Final Storm Squad members are selected based on a wide range of job skills including their personality, interpersonal skills, energy, ability to excel in public and customer relations, work ethic and athleticism.
WHERE: The tryouts will take place at PNC Arena. Please enter the building through the VIP entrance, located at the front of PNC Arena. PNC Arena is located at 1400 Edwards Mill Road, Raleigh, N.C. HOW TO SIGN UP FOR TRYOUTS: Fill out the registration form here. The week before tryouts, we will send out a schedule for the first day. DIRECTIONS: If entering via Trinity (off of Blue Ridge), take a right at Gate B; take your third left at the PNC Arena Box Office sign and park in the VIP parking lot. If entering via Edwards Mill, turn on E. Stephen Stroud, go straight at the stop sign, pass the west parking lot and park in the VIP parking lot. WHAT TO BRING: Simply bring a working knowledge of your schedule and availability, a resume and $10 registration fee. WHAT TO WEAR: For day one, wear clothes that represent you and your personality the best. In the past, individuals have worn anything from a t-shirt and jeans to business casual. We want you to be yourself during the interview so dress in a way that will allow you to be comfortable. WHAT TRYOUTS WILL INCLUDE: The tryouts will include a series of Q&A’s, group tasks and other activities that test the participant's' personality, enthusiasm, work ethic, team work and other variables important to being a member of the Eye Care Associates Storm Squad. DO I HAVE TO BE AT EACH DAY OF TRYOUTS?: Yes. For the first day you will only be there for an assigned time within the five-hour period. Your assigned time will be set the week before tryouts.
