The 2014 Kids ‘N Community Foundation golf tournament raised $40,000, a vital part to the $576,000 that the Foundation donated to 29 children’s charities during the 2014-15 season. The Kids ‘N Community Foundation’s level of giving, coupled with ticket and in-kind donations, ranked the Carolina Hurricanes seventh on the Triangle Business Journal’s list of largest corporate philanthropists. The Kids ‘N Community Foundation strives to meet the health and education needs of underserved youth in our community through programming and financial assistance to local, non-profit children’s organizations. The Foundation has funded scholarship programs, youth hockey, educational and literacy efforts, children’s health programs, the arts and other youth-related initiatives.
