Caniac Carnival

Caniac CarnivalJoin the Carolina Hurricanes for the 16th annual Caniac Carnival presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina at PNC Arena on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015. The event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and offers free admission and parking and discounted food and beverage. 

The Caniac Carnival, which will take over the outside and inside of PNC Arena, will feature activities for fans of all ages, including a free Hurricanes Red-White scrimmage, an autograph session with Canes players, 15 food trucks, inflatable rides, interactive games and booths, a kid’s zone, sports area, live music, appearances by Stormy and the MyEyeDr. Storm Squad and more! Admission and parking are free, and the event is open to the public. See below for a detailed activity schedule.

The Hurricanes Red-White scrimmage is a great opportunity for long-time and first-time fans alike to get a first look at members of the 2015-16 team. The scrimmage is general admission and free to the public. Team rosters will be available as the event nears.

An autograph session featuring all members of the Canes will take place prior to the scrimmage and is limited to the first 600 fans.

John Forslund, Canes TV play-by-play broadcaster, will host a State of the Hurricanes discussion at 12:15 p.m. A Canes Insider panel, which features local media and insiders, will take place following the Red-White scrimmage.

Outside PNC Arena, fans can find 50 inflatables, interactive displays and corporate partner booths. In addition, this year's Caniac Carnival will feature more food trucks than ever, including:

The Canes will also partner with Rex Healthcare to host a Blood Drive to benefit Rex Blood Services. The Rex Bloodmobile will be at the Caniac Carnival from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Interested donors can sign up in advance here, and donors will be accepted the day of the event. Where will the Caniac Carnival take place?
The Carnival takes place inside and outside (in front of the box office on the South Plaza) PNC Arena. Carnival events will take place from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. See above for specific schedule details.

Do I need a ticket for the Hurricanes Red-White scrimmage?
No, it is free. Seating is general admission, and availability is based on a first-come, first-served basis. Fans can enter via the South and East entrances of PNC Arena.

When do the doors open for the Red-White scrimmage?
Doors will open to Season Ticket Holders (must show ID) at 11:30 a.m., and doors will open to the general public at 11:45 a.m. Seating is general admission.

How do I attend the autograph session?
Fans must have a wristband, which will be distributed on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 10:00 a.m. in PNC Arena's box office. Wristbands, which are free, are limited to one per person to the first 600 fans.
