CAREER
Entering 2008-09, had played in six career NHL games, all with Carolina last season, totaling one goal... Had 26 points (16g, 10a) and 66 penalty minutes in 77 career AHL games and 36 points (15g, 21a) in 37 career ECHL games... Signed a one-year contract with Carolina on 7/14/08... Made his professional hockey debut for Wheeling (ECHL) at Johnstown (10/25/06)... Was named to the 2007 ECHL All-Star Game and earned an assist for the American Conference All-Stars... Netted his first AHL goal for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton vs. Chicago (12/9/06)... Prior to turning pro, played four seasons at St. Cloud State University of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA), totaling 100 points (45g, 55a) in 153 games with the Huskies... Set a school record with 13 career game-winning goals... Twice named to the All-WCHA All-Academic Team... Also played two seasons of junior hockey for Sioux Falls (USHL).

Scored his first NHL goal, beating Johan Hedberg at the 3:35 mark of the second period at ATL (3/19)... Made his NHL debut at NJ (2/18)... Was recalled from Albany on 2/18, marking his first NHL recall... Made his Albany debut vs. Syracuse (2/1)... Began the season with Pittsburgh’s top affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins...
