Matched his AHL career high with five assists and totaled seven points (2g, 5a) in 50 games with Charlotte… Notched his first goal of the season at San Antonio (3/9)… Scored his second goal of the season to tie the game in an eventual 5-4 shootout win vs. Oklahoma City (3/30)… Scored five of his seven points (2g, 3a) and was plus-6 in March (16 games).

Acquired by the Hurricanes on May 13, 2010 in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2010 NHL Draft… Signed a one-year contract on 7/16/13… Had 18 points (8g, 10a) in 119 career American Hockey League (AHL) games entering 2014-15 and had played two NHL games with Carolina… Totaled 153 points (54g, 99a) in 249 regular-season games during a four-year Ontario Hockey League (OHL) career with Sudbury… Was selected by Sudbury in the first round (11th overall) in the OHL Priority Draft after totaling 49 points (24g, 25a) in 64 games with the AAA Thunder Bay Kings in 2005-06… Skated in 63 regular-season games and 21 playoff games as a rookie for Sudbury in 2006-07, scoring the game-winning goal for the Wolves in the 2007 OHL Conference Finals… Ranked second among Sudbury skaters in scoring with 49 points (21g, 28a) in 2007-08 and was selected to play in the OHL All-Star Classic… Scored a goal in the 2008 CHL Top Prospects Game… Ranked tied for fourth on the Wolves in scoring in 2008-09 with 52 points (19g, 33a) in 67 games… Made his professional debut with San Antonio at the conclusion of the Wolves’ season, skating in five games without earning a point… Made his AHL debut at Lake Erie (3/21/09)… Led Sudbury in assists (37), totaling 49 points (12g, 37a) in 59 games during his final OHL season in 2009-10… Joined San Antonio at the end of the junior season, earning his first pro point with an assist vs. Houston (4/8/10)… Completed his first full pro season in 2010-11, earning two points (1g, 1a) in 13 games with Charlotte (AHL) and 11 points (6g, 5a) in 33 games with Florida (ECHL)… Netted his first AHL goal at Binghamton (12/18/10)… Split the 2011-12 season between Charlotte and Providence of the AHL, totaling eight points (3g, 5a) in 44 games… Set AHL career highs in games played (52) and goals (4) for Charlotte in 2012-13… Made his NHL debut vs. NYR (4/25/13), starting the game with brothers Eric and Jordan… They were the fourth trio of brothers to play for the same team in the same season in NHL history and first since Peter, Anton and Marian Stastny with Quebec in 1985…
