2010-11 SEASON
Split the season between Florida (ECHL) and Charlotte (AHL), earning career highs in games played (50), goals (8), assists (11) and points (19) on the AHL level… Had 31 points (15g, 16a) in 27 ECHL games with Florida… Scored the game-winning goal in Charlotte’s playoff-clinching game at Albany (4/2)… Skated in five Calder Cup playoff games for the Checkers, earning one assist.

CAREER

Signed to a three-year, entry-level contract by the Carolina Hurricanes as an undrafted free agent on 5/20/09… Had totaled 27 points (13g, 14a) in 91 career American Hockey League (AHL) games entering 2011-12… Completed a five-season Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) with 120 goals and 145 assists (265 points) in 259 games with Shawinigan and Gatineau… Ranked seventh in the QMJHL in scoring in 2007-08 with Gatineau, totaling 93 points (37g, 56a) during the regular season… Was the CHL Player of the Week for the week ending 2/17/08 after scoring five goals and eight assists for 13 points in three games… Helped lead Gatineau to the 2008 QMJHL title with 28 points (11g, 17a) in 19 playoff games… Ranked fourth in the QMJHL in goals in 2008-09, finding the net a team-best 45 times… Was third among Shawinigan skaters and eighth in the QMJHL in scoring with 86 points… Awarded the CHL’s 2008-09 Humanitarian of the Year Award, which recognizes community impact along with on-ice performance, edging out fellow Hurricanes prospect Chris Terry in the voting… Notched 20 points (13g, 7a) in 21 playoff games for the Cataractes as Shawinigan advanced to the seventh game of the 2009 QMJHL Finals before falling to Drummondville… Completed his first professional season in 2009-10, splitting the year between Albany (AHL) and Florida (ECHL)… Scored his first professional point with an assist for Albany (AHL) vs. Adirondack (10/17/09)… Scored his first two AHL goals vs. Springfield (10/30/09).
