Completed his fifth season of junior hockey, splitting the year between Guelph and Barrie... Totaled 18 goals and 16 assists (34 points) in 43 regular-season games, including 18 points in 29 games after being acquired by Barrie from Guelph in December in exchange for Ryan Gottschalk, two second-round picks and a third-round pick... Scored a goal for the East in the 2010 OHL All-Star Game... Added nine goals and six assists (15 points) and was plus-13 in 17 OHL playoff games, as the Colts advanced to the OHL Finals before falling to eventual Memorial Cup Champion Windsor.

CAREER

Had 151 points (79g, 72a) and 336 penalty minutes in 231 career regular-season Ontario Hockey League (OHL) games with Guelph and Barrie... Had 16 goals and 10 assists (26 points) in 35 career OHL playoff games... Signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Hurricanes on May 27, 2010... Was selected by Guelph in the seventh round, 129th overall, of the 2005 OHL Priority Selection... Made his OHL debut for the Storm in 2005-06, scoring one goal in 13 OHL games after the conclusion of his OPJHL season... Missed more than a month of action during the 2007-08 season due to a concussion, but returned to post a productive second half that included two hat tricks... Led Guelph in goals (33) and points (73) and was tied for the team lead in assists (40) in 67 games played in 2008-09... Served as the Storm’s captain that season and was named Team MVP...Made his American Hockey League (AHL) debut with Syracuse at the conclusion of his 2008-09 junior season, netting one goal in four games for the Crunch...Hometown is Shanty Bay, Ont.

2008-09: Led Guelph in goals (33) and points (73) and was tied for the team lead in assists (40) in 67 games played during his fourth season of junior hockey...
