2010-11 SEASON
Split the season between Skelleftea’s teams in the Swedish Junior league and the Swedish Elite League… Played 11 regular-season games and nine playoff games for Skelleftea’s top squad… Earned 11 points (3g, 8a) and 38 penalty minutes in 28 games with Skelleftea’s junior team… Also appeared in two games with Boden in the Swedish third division, totaling two penalty minutes.

CAREER
Signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Hurricanes on 6/1/11, which includes a European Assignment Clause, allowing him to be assigned to Skelleftea if he does not make Carolina’s NHL roster after training camp… Had 16 goals and 14 assists (30 points) in 81 games in the Swedish Junior league entering 2011-12… Had also skated in 18 regular-season Swedish Elite League (SEL) games with Skelleftea, netting one goal… Was the 22nd-ranked European skater in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft according to Central Scouting, after being ranked 55th in the midterm rankings… Has represented Sweden in several international competitions, including the 2008 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament and 2009 U-18 World Junior Championship… Made his debut in the Swedish Elite League with Skelleftea in 2008-09, scoring one goal in seven games… Also played for Skelleftea’s Junior and U-18 teams that season… Skated in just one game for Skelleftea in the Swedish Junior league in 2009-10, missing the majority of the season because of a knee injury.
