2012-13 SEASON
Ranked first in the OHL in wins (36) during his second season with Oshawa… Ranked second in the league in games played (58), second in minutes (3363), tied for fifth in shutouts (3), sixth in goals-against average (2.62) and ninth in save percentage (.909)… Won the Roger Neilson Memorial Award as the OHL’s top academic university or college player… Won six of seven games to start the season, including a five-game win streak from 9/28-10/8… Earned his first OHL shutout with 29 saves at Peterborough (11/1)… Made 22 saves for his second shutout at OTT (1/9)… Won seven of nine games in February, including a 20-save shutout at Mississauga (2/1)… Earned five consecutive victories from 2/14-3/10… Played all nine of Oshawa’s postseason contests, going 4-5 with a 3.00 goals-against average as the Generals eliminated Niagara before getting swept by Barrie.

CAREER
Had a record of 47-34-5 with a 2.94 goals-against average and three shutouts in 88 career games with the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) entering 2013-14… Was ranked seventh among North American goaltenders in NHL Central Scouting’s 2012 midterm evaluations, and was Carolina’s third-round choice (69th overall) in the 2012 NHL Draft… Represented Canada at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Under-18 Tournament in 2011, earning MVP honors in the gold-medal game as Canada won the tournament… Also won gold with Ontario at the 2011 U-17 World Junior Championship… Played for his hometown team, the Nepean Raiders of the CJHL prior to beginning his major junior career… Was 19-13- 10 with a 3.22 goals-against average for Nepean in 2010-11… Was named to the OHL All-Rookie Team in 2011-12, after going 11-16-3 with a 3.55 goals-against average and .900 save percentage for Oshawa… Made his OHL debut at Kingston (9/23/11), stopping 37 of 38 shots for the win… Made a regular-season, career-high 49 saves in a 6-5 overtime loss vs. Kingston (11/19/11)… Was 2-2 with a 3.87 goals-against average in five OHL playoff games in 2012, as Oshawa fell to Niagara in the opening round… Earned his first OHL playoff victory with a 46-save performance in Game 2 at Niagara (3/25/12).
