Began the season with Ohio State, appearing in two games before returning to the USHL… Was 14-4-1 with a 2.29 goals-against average and .921 save percentage in 23 USHL games with the USNTDP and Sioux City… Ranked second in the USHL in save percentage and fourth in goals-against average… Earned a shutout in his USHL season debut for the USNTDP vs. Green Bay (11/16)… Made 35 saves and earned the win in his Sioux City debut at Fargo (12/28)… Made 29 saves for his second shutout of the season, vs. Muskegon (1/3)… Was 1-1 in two postseason contests for Sioux City.

Career
Selected by the Hurricanes in the sixth round (159th overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft… Was 31-18-3 with a 2.55 goals-against average and .909 save percentage in 58 career games in the United States Hockey League (USHL) with the USNTDP and Sioux City… Also played 11 career games for Ohio State (Big 10), going 2-4-1 with a 3.69 goals-against average… Spent two years in the United States National Team Development Program from 2010-2012… Was chosen as the Best Goaltender at the 2012 IIHF U-18 World Junior Championship in the Czech Republic, leading the United States to the gold medal with a record of 5-0, a 0.80 goals-against average and three shutouts… The three shutouts included a 7-0 victory in the gold-medal game against Sweden, and matched Jack Campbell’s record… Also represented the U.S. at the 2012 U-18 Five Nations Tournament, the 2011 U-18 Four Nations Cup, the 2010 U-17 Four Nations Cup and the 2011 World U-17 Challenge… Was 7-6-2 with a 2.55 goals-against average and one shutout in 16 games for the USNTDP in the USHL in 2011-12… Played for Ohio State in 2012-13, going 2-3-1 in nine games played with a 3.09 goals-against average and .901 save percentage… Served as backup to All-American netminder Brady Hjelle most of the season…
