Completed his first season at Ohio State, going 2-3-1 in nine games played with a 3.09 goals-against average and .901 save percentage… Started seven of his nine games played… Served as backup to All-American netminder Brady Hjelle most of the season… Made his collegiate debut, stopping 26 of 28 shots to earn his first win at Minnesota-Duluth (10/13)… Made 12 saves to earn his second win of the season vs. Northern Michigan (11/17).

CAREER
Selected by the Hurricanes in the sixth round (159th overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft… Was 2-3-1 with a 3.09 goals-against average in nine career games for Ohio State (CCHA) entering 2013-14… Attended the United States National Junior Evaluation Camp in August 2013… Spent two years in the United States National Team Development Program from 2010-2012… Completed his United States Hockey League (USHL) career with the USNTDP with a record of 17-14-3 with a 2.71 goals-against average… Has competed in a number of international competitions with the United States… Was chosen as the Best Goaltender at the 2012 II HF U-18 World Junior Championship in the Czech Republic, leading the United States to the gold medal with a record of 5-0, a 0.80 goals-against average and three shutouts… The three shutouts included a 7-0 victory in the gold-medal game against Sweden, and matched Jack Campbell’s record… Also represented the U.S. at the 2012 U-18 Five Nations Tournament, the 2011 U-18 Four Nations Cup, the 2010 U-17 Four Nations Cup and the 2011 World U-17 Challenge… Was 7-6-2 with a 2.55 goals-against average and one shutout in 16 games for the USNTDP in the USHL in 2011-12.
