Selected by the Hurricanes in the seventh round (189th overall) in the 2012 NHL Draft… Has 12 points (3g, 9a) in 64 career collegiate games for Boston University and Northeastern… Played one season in the Eastern Junior Hockey League (EJHL), earning 42 points (14g, 28a) in 43 games… Totaled 56 goals and 83 assists (139 points) during his junior and senior seasons at Malden Catholic High School in Massachusetts, helping the Lancers capture consecutive Super Eight state championships… Also played golf and lacrosse at Malden Catholic… Netted 30 goals and added 45 assists (75 points) in 25 games for Malden Catholic in 2010-11, and was named an All-State selection by ESPN Boston… Scored the overtime game-winner in the state championship game, as Malden Catholic defeated St. John’s Prep at TD Garden in Boston… Was named Mr. Hockey by ESPN Boston in 2011-12, after totaling 64 points (26g, 38a) in 25 games to lead Malden Catholic to its second consecutive state championship… Also an All-State selection by ESPN Boston for the second consecutive year… Led all Massachusetts Division 1A players in 2011-12 scoring… Scored a goal in the 2012 state championship game at TD Garden, as the Lancers topped BC High 3-1 to win the title… Spent the 2012-13 season in the Eastern Junior Hockey League (EJHL), leading the Valley Junior Warriors in assists (28) and points (42) in 43 regular-season games… Had six points (1g, 5a) in six playoff games as Valley Junior advanced to the 2013 EJHL semifinals before falling to the Islanders Hockey Club… Completed his freshman season at Boston University in 2013-14, totaling four points (1g, 3a) in 29 games… Earned his first collegiate point with an assist vs. Merrimack (12/7/13)… Netted his first collegiate goal vs. New Hampshire (2/17/14).
