Selected by the Hurricanes in the third round, 66th overall, of the 2013 NHL Draft… Had 43 points (11g, 32a) in 110 career collegiate games for the University of New Hampshire (Hockey East)… Ranked 40th on NHL Central Scouting’s final list of North American skaters for the 2013 Draft… Spent two seasons with the New Jersey Avalanche of the Atlantic Youth Hockey League (AYHL) from 2009-2011, totaling 40 points (11g, 29a) in 52 games… Played for the New Jersey Hitmen of the Eastern Junior Hockey League (EJHL) in 2011-12, earning six points (1g, 5a) in 17 games… Also spent time with the U.S. National Development team during the holiday break that season, appearing in four games for the Under-18 team… Represented the U.S. Under-18 team at the 2011 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, notching an assist on the game-winning goal vs. Russia… Completed his freshman season for New Hampshire in 2012-13, totaling six points (1g, 5a) in 38 games… Earned his first college point with an assist at Colorado College (11/23/12)… Netted his first college goal at UMass-Lowell (12/1/12)… Played all 41 games for New Hampshire during his sophomore season in 2013-14, setting career highs in goals (7), assists (14) and points (21)… Had a 10-game point streak (5g, 8a) from 1/24/14-3/1/14.
