Signed with the Hurricanes as a free agent on 8/22/13… Had 237 points (87g, 150a) in 189 career Ontario Hockey League (OHL) games with Sault Ste. Marie… Has represented Russia in a number of international tournaments… Won a gold medal at the 2012 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, scoring a hat trick, including a shorthanded penalty shot, to lead Russia to a 7-4 win against the United States in the title game… Was named to the tournament’s All-Star Team… Had four points (3g, 1a) and was plus-5 for Russia at the 2013 U18 World Junior Championship… Was tied for fifth among all skaters at the 2015 World Junior Championship in goals with four, helping Russia capture the silver medal… Also played for Russia at the 2012 U18 Five Nations Cup and the 2012 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament… Spent the 2011-12 season with CKSA Moscow of the Russian Junior League (MHL), totaling 34 points (19g, 15a) and registering a plus-17 rating… Had four points (2g, 2a) in 15 MHL playoff games, as CKSA Moscow advanced to the 2012 Kharlamov Cup Final before falling to Omsk… Selected by Sault Ste. Marie, leading the Greyhounds in points (95) and assists (65) in 61 games played… Ranked seventh in the OHL in assists and 11th in scoring… Was tied for sixth in the league in game-winning goals (6) and eighth in the league in plus/minus (+41)… Played for Russia at the 2015 World Junior Championship and in the Subway Super Series… For the second consecutive season, won the Greyhounds’ Esposito Award as the team’s top scorer and Dr. Bill Kelly Award for most gentlemanly player… Earned points in 47 of his 61 OHL games played, including multiple-point efforts in 32 of those games… Had at least three points in 14 games and registered four points in games at Plymouth (2/14: 1g, 3a) and vs. Kitchener (2/21: 0g, 4a)… His four assists vs. Kitchener (2/21) were a career high… Had a career-long, 11-game point streak from 2/11-3/6 (6g, 20a)… Named the OHL’s Player of the Week on 2/16 after totaling eight points (3g, 5a) in three Greyhounds victories… Had 14 points (4g, 10a) in 14 OHL playoff games for Sault Ste. Marie as the Greyhounds advanced to the conference final before falling to Erie.
